Serving with Love and Compassion

Today was filled with the laughter and energy of little children everywhere! Their smiles and curiosity brightened every corner of the clinic and reminded us why we’re here — to serve with love and compassion.

Anna had a touching moment today when she gave her cross to a young mother caring for her child with a medical challenge. She shared words of encouragement and prayed with her, asking the Lord to bring strength, healing, and blessings to both mother and child. It was a powerful reminder that sometimes the smallest acts of faith carry the greatest impact.

Our nurses cared for several younger children with cardiac conditions, provided deworming medication to help ease common gastrointestinal issues, and spent time educating families about managing hypertension and chronic diseases including respiratory, skin and allergy challenges. Several referrals were made for additional critical care across the patient population. Each conversation planted seeds of knowledge and hope that will continue to grow long after we leave. The team invested in important foundational work in the community today, establishing a framework for continued support and education in this newer location. 

The dental team focused on patient education, teaching the importance of oral hygiene and how good dental care supports overall health. They performed numerous extractions and fillings along with cleanings and preventative work. Their dedication to help build healthier futures for entire families was clearly evident.

The vision team also experienced some of the most heartwarming moments of the day — witnessing the pure joy on patients’ faces as they put on glasses and saw clearly for the first time in years. 

The smiles, the tears, the laughter — all of it was a reflection of the Lord’s goodness and grace at work through our team today.

It was a day of compassion, education, and faith — one that reminded us that healing often begins with love. Our benediction for the day was an amazing devotion brought by JennaLynn; her encouragement to allow the challenges and unexpected "bumps" of life to create beauty and art in our lives was mirrored by the sea glass creations that our entire team created!
