Team Esperanza Closed Our Week in El Cacao. What a special day! Our team members felt called to give out five crosses today to community members who touched our hearts in special ways - from their faith, their gratitude, their goals and perseverance and their need for reassurance and prayer.

The day included a combination of challenging situations with patient care and lighthearted interactions that included some soccer play and fingernail painting.

Upon our return to Alfredo House, Shayne led a communion service, with Shayne and Peggy sharing the elements. Our beloved Albita and Karen joined the team for the service.

The team and FOB staff then went out to dinner in Peña Blanca and enjoyed a delicious meal and fellowship.

It’s hard to believe that we head home tomorrow. This team has bonded and will always hold dear the memories of this past week. We have been honored to serve as a part of the work that FOB does and have been blessed by our experiences here.
