August Team #1 2026

Friday, August 6th

Enjoyed a breakfast with the entire F.O.B. team on the carport.  Then we had a quick and smooth ride to the community of Colonia 3 de Octubre.

During our sharing in addition to sharing the community neighbors that touched our hearts.  The community leader today made sure all the community members had been seen before she went through.  An older brother, who is all of 11 years old, had to leave school because his sister started kindergarten.  Older siblings entertaining their youngers while their parents were being assessed.  I saw a grandson come by to assist his grandmother getting home.  We also spent a good deal of time sharing about how wonderful our F.O.B. staff have been this week.  How much heart and investment they put into their work.  Taking care of the community members and helping us communicate.  We will miss all of these beautiful people.

After returning to Alfredo’s House we unpacked the bus and said goodbye to some of the staff.  We did a quick change and headed to Pina Blanca for a quick souvenir shopping trip.  Several of our translators went with us to help understand and negotiate prices.  Then we had to say goodbye to our translators. Back to base for all the fun in getting ready to head home tomorrow.  

For our evening devotions we each shared the main impact we each experienced from the week.  There was laughter and some tears.  Changes in perspective, gratitude, inspired and motivated.
