The March Team is in Honduras!

March 21^st, 2026

We began our trips in the early morning hours of Saturday, March 21^st. We arrived at various airports in New York, North Carolina and Virgina. Despite some minor delays with airport check-in, we did not find the lines too much of a wait. We were able to get on our way without difficulty. We arrived on schedule in Miami, Florida where we were able to meet up with the rest of our team. The weather was cooperative as we took off from Florida without too much turbulence.

We landed in San Pedro Sula and retrieved our luggage after going through customs. We met with our Honduran staff and security detail at the front of the airport and loaded everything onto the bus. We were able to leave the airport without too much traffic and arrived at the Friends of Barnabas House several hours later.

We became acquainted with our home away from home and were treated to an excellent dinner by our hosting staff. Our team member Dave led the devotional after dinner where we touched on how Jesus was baptized and God said, “that is my Son and I am very pleased.” in Matthew 3:17. Our devotion helped us center on a servant’s heart and how joy can come from providing service to others despite uncertainty. Dave pointed out that in our week of service we are all sons and daughters of God, and how we are sent in God’s stead to provide relief. We had a debriefing afterwards and went over our schedule for the week before settling in for the night.
