God put us on the path to Ojo de Aguita community -a one hour and ten-minute drive from Alfredo House. Our first day was a mix of feelings, but at the end of our day, we saw how God has control and a purpose.
In the middle of the chaos created by equipment malfunctions, we saw opportunities for improvement - how a soft voice and gentle skills promoted calmness and eased anxiety, how in the middle of a rush there was the opportunity to enjoy a playful baby, and how the rainy weather helped us improve our adaptation skills.
The team also experienced joy when we saw the faith, perseverance and hope in many difficult situations. And this encouraged the giving of four crosses today.
The team witnessed the fruit of Friends of Barnabas’ efforts through the knowledge, character, faith, commitment and transformation of this community.
We ended a wonderful day with a devotion shared by Martha about the life of Barnabas and the characteristics that he displayed. Martha encouraged our team to follow his example and commitment to God not only in our work this week, but also in our life.
