Las Delicias

This sun showed up this morning on the way to Las Delicias, but soon it hid behind the clouds as we travelled along the foggy road up the mountain, to finally shine again when we arrived - revealing an impressive blue sky.

Today Team Esperanza was impressed with the gratitude and positive response of our patients, with the support that we witnessed family members giving to each other, with the patience that the patients exhibited as they waited for care, with the positive attitude of the patients -especially those with multiple concerns and losses, with how the patients felt comfortable sharing information about themselves and their lives, and with our fellow team members as they engaged and interacted with patients and their families. The team was impressed with the amount of work that was done today but also realize how much more work needs to be done.

Jodi’s devotion about gratitude was very meaningful to us because even when we believe that we have not done enough, we need to express gratitude for what we have been able to accomplish with God’s help.
