There’s something special about slowing down in the early morning with a warm cup of coffee, surrounded by the bird chirping & sounds of fellowship. It a beautiful reminder of God’s subtlety and His attention to the smallest details of creation. Yet as we look beyond the trees, we are reminded of His vast power and majesty by the incredible mountains that surround us. His beauty is both gentle and grand.
Our morning continued with a delicious breakfast—a blend of local fruit, including papaya, yogurt, and traditional beans and melted cheese rolls...oh and more coffee ☕️
From there, we headed out to Lake Yojoa, where we enjoyed a peaceful boat ride surrounded by the beauty of Honduras. It gave us another moment to pause and appreciate where God has brought us. We then adventured down to the family marketplace, where we picked up some of our favorite Honduran snacks and treats.
The rest of the evening was spent preparing Wellness Bags for each family and completing clinic training. There was something special about everyone working together—hands busy, hearts full, and a shared excitement for what God has in store for the days ahead.
We ended the evening with a delicious dinner, followed by devotion and communion. Sharing communion together as a mission team was a beautiful reminder that, before we are nurses, providers, or volunteers, we are one body in Christ.
As we prepare for our first day of clinic, we are grateful for the opportunity to serve and trusting God to guide every conversation, every patient, and every moment.
“Here I am! Send me.” — Isaiah 6:8
