Education

P1060225.JPG

It was no surprise that El Palmar, Las Vegas, Santa Barbara, a community with three well-kept classrooms self-identified education as their greatest need from FOBF.

Remmie, Stacey, and Stefanie taught about oral hygiene to the families waiting in line for Vitamin A and fluoride treatments. "Sugar bad... brushing teeth good." Theresa and Robin provided education for many families about age-appropriate nutrition from infancy into the teens. Otto taught how to throw a Frisbee and soon it was game on for Otto and a group of niños.

The children taught Janet about "monos y pingüinos" as they read "Jorge el Curioso." Ben had many patients with muscle pains so he taught stretching exercises to relieve and prevent pain.

Thank you all for your support from home. Education is the key o sustaining health.

As Team 3 continues the FOBF mission we will practice the message from tonight's devotion from Philippians 4:8:

"...whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things."
