Our Last Day

Tuesday, July 8

Today began with a bittersweet departure from La Casa de Alfredo. We began our journey toward San Pedro Sula with our gear packed tight. We dropped off our bags and headed straight to the beach in Cortes where we enjoyed sun, fun, each other’s company and even the first half of Germany’s domination of Brazil in the World Cup. We then headed to the fortress of San Fernando de Omoa where our tour guide Julio told us some very interesting facts including the history of the Blackberry.

We ended the evening with a family style meal with potatoes, steak, chicken, pork and ribs. It was a very nice ending to a great week in Honduras.
