The February is in Honduras!

Team Esperanza (“HOPE”) arrived Saturday and has been busy settling in and preparing for our week ahead. It was like a mini reunion at the Miami airport as many of the members have served on this team before. New team members were warmly welcomed and immediately felt included.

Sunday activities included a pontoon boat ride on Lago de Yojoa (the largest lake in Honduras) where we enjoyed the beautiful natural surroundings as we not only bonded with nature but also grew in our relationships with one another.

The afternoon was spent preparing for the week ahead as we packed the medicine bags that we will distribute and also received additional training. We were so happy to reconnect with our Honduran FOB staff members and friends. Our fellowship grew as we then enjoyed a delicious dinner out.

The evening closed back at Alfredo House with a service where our hands were anointed by Peggy and Bo, and crosses were blessed and given out by Jodi.

Team Esperanza is excited to be here and to get started early tomorrow morning to serve our first village.
