The Dinwiddie Team is in Honduras!

Sunday, October 13, 2024

The Dinwiddie team arrived safely to Alfredo’s House.  Members came from VA, TN, DC, FL and NY.  Returning members reunited with old friends and new members joined the family!

Our morning devotional was by Carlos and was about a woman who washed her sheets and placed them outside to dry.  When her neighbor looked out the window the sheets looked dirty. The woman washed the sheets again and placed them outside to dry however when neighbor looked out the window, the sheets still looked dirty.  After doing this a few times the neighbor realized it was the window that was dirty and not the sheets.  The moral of the story was don’t judge according to your standards.

After breakfast we went to the waterfall to see the beautiful views and zip line.  We then packed medications for the week, and we reviewed the electronic medical record system.  We also reviewed expectations for the week and after dinner everyone dispersed to get ready for the week.

For closing devotional, Nareesa spoke about how God is reminding us that we need to change the way see Him because He had not neglected us, nor is he displeased with us.  It is our heart and our vision that is tarnished. He is All Merciful most loving Lord and His perception of us never changes. We as His followers need to shift our perception to be able to see the tender loving care that is bestowed upon us.
