Valiant volunteer and tireless promoter of Friends of Barnabas, Ronnie Dillon of Danville, walked the Appalachian Trail to continue the Hike for Honduras.
He encountered some snow in the mountains of North Carolina, as you can see from his pictures here!
But he also encountered a new friend: Steve Claxton. Steve hails from Bryson City, North Carolina and is currently walking the Appalachian Trail. Ronnie spoke with him and told him our story, and Steve generously offered to carry the GPS torch for Friends of Barnabas for a while.
Thanks, Steve, for walking for us! Click here to read more about Steve and why he's walking.
Please give a cheer for Ronnie - who carried the baton over 40 miles northwards on the Appalachian Trail, finishing his leg of the hike near Stecoah Gap, near Robbinsville, North Carolina.
Please keep Kyle Kirby in your prayers - we are so grateful for him and his continued commitment and dedication. Kyle is awaiting medical attention for his knees, and I'm sure you will join me in thanking him for all he's done, and pray for healing.
We still need your help! You can participate in the Hike for Honduras wherever you are.
You can donate - we have already raised over $29,000 for the children of Honduras! We need your help to reach our goal of $50,000.
Stay tuned for how you can walk where you are and contribute miles for Kyle.
God's blessings to all of you,
Mary Beth
