Team Trinity started our Saturday morning bright and early in Richmond-bonus was the sunrise from the sky. We met up the entire team in Miami and arrived hungry and happy in San Pedro. We had a fabulous festive meal to welcome us to Alfredo House. The team feasted on tamales Hondurans, a staple of celebrations in Honduras.
Sunday morning was preparation day for the coming week. We worked and sang along to Taylor Swift as the team prepared our clinic bags for distribution to our families. The medical personnel had a refresher training on the EMR, including updates that will allow for even easier charting and tracking of the families we serve. The team was very enthusiastic about the changes.
Pastor Brian held communion for the team as part of a moving devotional offered by Linda to help us set our hearts and minds on the week ahead. We spent the afternoon walking through the trails of the botanical gardens. The flora and the views of the streams and blue pools were astonishing. What a beautiful country we are lucky enough to spend a week in. We are ready to head to the mountains and begin our medical service in the morning.
