Team Reveille made it! Travel was uneventful until Customs was unusually strict with Claire as they kept looking at, shuffling through, and shaking their heads as they counted the numerous scary dental instruments that she has brought with her to Honduras for many years with no incident in Customs. With expert interpretation by Flor Franco, one of the VCU Pace students, and a cross between a pleading look from Claire with big blue searching eyes, “These are what I use my office in the US, and I need them here," the Customs officials finally let us pass with scary instruments in tow.

We arrived at Alfredo House and were met with a welcome that reassured us we were home once again.  After dinner, Lauren led us in a beautiful devotion by Bob Goff, “If we only do what we’re familiar with, we might miss what we’ve been made for” reflecting on 1Peter 4:10. We followed with a wonderful discussion about gifts we might have that God might want to use here in Honduras. Lights out happened very early tonight as this 1 day of travel from Richmond always seems like it lasts 2 days at least!

Today our team had breakfast, and headed to Cataratas Pulhapanzak to Zipline and explore. This was my first time ziplining and I was nervous at first but it was so much fun! We got to zipline over some beautiful sites like the waterful and see the mountains and it was breathtaking!

Afterwards we were able to stop by a market and I got to pick up snacks I've never tried before. I'm excited to see what they taste like. Then we went back to the house and sorted baking soda and salt into bags to be used for toothpaste as well as sorted other medical supplies that will be distributed in the community this week! This afternoon we had a meeting on EMR training and learned about all the different positions we may be assigned to this week. I'm so excited and grateful to be able to be here to help out in whatever way I can!
