Today we visited Ojo de Aguita. This was a first visit for FOBF and we were supposed to go earlier in the week, but roads were too treacherous. However, we made it with the help of a bulldozer and some pretty incredible driving skills by Geovany, our amazing bus driver. Our bus ride up the mountain was the most adventurous of all our travels this week, and as we inched closer and closer to the village on a windy, switchback, gravel road on the side of the mountain, the entire team could feel the pull of the need that these people had.
Today we cared for families both large and small, but so full of life. The people of this community smiled from the second the bus pulled up to the second the bus left. Our medical clinic volunteers felt the impact of caring for so many complex patients during the day after many of them had to refer at least 1/4-1/2 of their patients.
We pray for health and safe travels for our trip back to the states tomorrow and are extremely blessed to have had such a successful all gals mission trip!

Today was an absolutely amazing day. It started out with getting to see the welcoming that is performed at the beginning of every day and getting to hear a beautiful prayer from one of the individuals from the community. We cared for some very special elders in the community, one of which hugged me and thanked me. We also cared for some of the cutest and sweetest children, some of which were really sick. This entire day was filled with love and gratitude and could not have been a better ending to the week.
