It was an early morning start, and as often happens with travel, a few unexpected hiccups brought some of us together in a Kroger parking lot for a quick road trip to our detoured airport. 😂

For some of us, this would be the first time meeting one another in person. We had already shared plans, messages, and anticipation, but now we were finally putting faces to names and beginning this journey together.

The rest of our team would meet us along the way in Greensboro, and then we picked up a few more teammates in Atlanta. Piece by piece, our team came together as we made our way safely toward Honduras.

There were plenty of miles, luggage, laughter, conversations, and probably more logistics than any of us expected—but through it all, we were reminded that sometimes the journey itself is part of the story God is writing.

What started as an unexpected change of plans quickly became the beginning of new friendships, shared memories, and a journey we know will be so much more than simply a trip.

After a long day of travel, we finished our evening settling in and gathering around the table at the Alfredo House for dinner. It was the perfect way to end our first day together—sharing a meal, stories, laughter, and the anticipation of what lies ahead.

Now, we are settled in, our team is together, and our hearts are ready to see what God has in store. ❤️
