  • Go to
    https://travelregistration.state.gov/ibrs/ or https://travelregistration.state.gov
  • US Department of State webpage will appear
  • Click “Create Account” which appears in red at the bottom of the third column
  • Click on “Create Individual Account”
  • Enter your desired User ID, password, and security question
  • Click “Next”
  • Complete “Personal Info” and “Permanent Residence” sections
  • Click “Next”
  • Complete “Passport Information” section
  • Click “Next”
  • Complete Emergency Contact Information section
  • Click “Next”
  • Read Privacy Act Information
  • Click the box beside the statement “I have read the terms of the Privacy Act Notice”
  • It is suggested that you click the bullet beside the statement “I agree to allow the State Department to disclose my information to…” and then click in each bullet listed, however, the decision to do so is up to each team person individually
  • Click “Next”
  • Click “Finish”
  • Click “Add a Trip”
  • Click “Next”
  • Complete the “Destination Information”

    • Destination Date of Arrival and Departure:  Insert your team’s dates

  • Click “Next”
  • If a family member is traveling with you, please complete the “Travelers” section and then click “Next”.  If not, click “Next”
  • If you would like to have travel updates, make sure that your email and country selection has been made in the “Travel Information Email Distribution List”
  • Click “Next”
  • Read any Public Announcements and click “Next”
  • Click “Finish”
