Linwood G. Cook

Rev. Linwood G. Cook grew up in rural Chesterfield County, Virginia and earned a degree in Marketing and Management from Richmond Professional Institute. After fourteen years in the business world, he felt the call to ministry and went on to receive a BS in Religion and Philosophy from Averett University and completed his Elders Orders at Duke Seminary. Appointed to churches across Virginia for the first 25 years of his ministry, Linwood always viewed missions as his focus, and in 2000, he was appointed President of The Friends of Barnabas Foundation.

Linwood and his wife, Brenda, have three grown children, four grandchildren and are the ‘adopted’ grandparents of two special little girls. He enjoys reading and working at his home on Smith Mountain Lake in Pittsylvania County, Virginia.
